Another application from Google that gives people who research and think something to work with. What becomes of it, whether Google throws this one onto the pile of applications it has closed, we do not know. But as of 2015 it is in use and anyone can pick it up easily. For business owners it can be inspiring during project development, or while moving what they do closer to the web.

Google Moderator Is an Asking Activity

Google Moderator wants people to ask questions and nothing more. Answers are not the basis of it; asking is. Answering inside the system is still possible. With topics and subtopics you reach your audience precisely. Seeing the questions being asked also feeds into how your own work on the subject develops. Voting on questions is possible too. You could call it a hybrid: a voting system crossed with a forum.

The Google Moderator interface

Here is how Google describes Moderator on its own pages;

  • Let your audience decide

    Get to know your audience better by letting them decide for themselves which questions, suggestions or ideas interest them most.

  • Everyone gets heard

    The voting box at the top of the page shows the newest and the rising questions and ideas, which makes taking part easier.

  • Be creative

    Bringing people into any subject where you need their ideas is very easy. With Moderator you can work alongside people or brainstorm new ideas together.

Sign In to Google Moderator

To use Google Moderator you need an active Google account. The basic principle is asking, not answering. As I said a moment ago, answering questions is possible too.
