Inspiring Stories

Tatil.com, one of the pioneering sites of Turkish tourism, had been trading under Met Global for a long time. Under the management of Metin Altun it ran from 1998 through to the present day. That success story gave birth to an international brand, Hotelspro, and turned into the journey of the biggest export brand in Turkish tourism. Met Global threw parties when daily revenue hit 1 million TL, kept a pleasant office at Teknopark and had wonderful numbers across the board. Then the pandemic came and the wind turned.

Every giant brand in tourism felt that wind. Some of them stopped work, and some set off on a far more dramatic journey. The journey down.

Bounced checks, canceled reservations, illness and lockdown. Tatil.com could not make its payments, and Met Global was sadly heading for a collapse there was no coming back from.

Thousands of complaints on Sikayetvar.com, the Turkish consumer complaints site. A site that had shut down, and a customer service line nobody could reach.

CRM Grup Buys Tatil.com, and What Came After

After that period the losses were gathered up again, the tens of thousands of old and unhappy customers were reached, and their problems were resolved. Investment in the site went back in almost without loss, so that it could reach the strength of the earlier period. Its most important pages, ones with content nobody else has, such as public holiday dates, were rethought from the ground up.

New Logo, New Tatil.com

The logo changed, the design was improved and deep renewals were made in the infrastructure. All of that added up to a much stronger Tatil.com in 2023.

What Türk SEM Did

Türk SEM ran the project management for Tatil.com in that period. We also handled the handover from the Hotelspro team to the CRM Medya team.

In the second period our role changed. We came in as senior SEO consultants and delivered SEO work for Tatil.com through 2023 and 2024. Hotels and travel agencies are the field where Türk SEM has gathered the most experience, which is how the work reached us.

Over the months of our consultancy the curve turned upward and Tatil.com had a strong season.
