At Türk SEM we host all of our projects on 5 reseller accounts and 1 server. We decided to buy a new server and started assembling our own in the process. So we put a list together for ourselves, and this is where we share it with you. In the early years of the internet the decision was easier, because there were only a handful of them. Now there are a lot of data centers and choosing is hard.
Picking a data center is an important subject, and a serious one, because a wrong choice can drag you into some painful processes. So we decided to build a list based on the DNS resolution and response times of the data center websites, using our own software, DNS Checker.
Note: We ran these tests in November 2024 from our own site in Denizli, Turkey. The list will be refreshed once a year, the same way we do it in our best hosting providers article.

Data Center Test Results
DGN Teknoloji
When we measured the DNS response time on DGN Teknoloji’s own site, dgnteknoloji.com, the figure we got was “118.47 ms”.
DGN Teknoloji operates out of Bursa.
PenDC
Running the DNS resolution test on the PenDC website, pendc.com, we got “129.3 ms”.
PenDC operates out of Bursa.
Datacasa
Datacasa started operating in 2018 under Etra Holding. In our testing, DNS resolution on datacasa.com.tr came back with a response time of “147.24 ms”.
Datacasa serves from Başakşehir, Istanbul.
In SEO work, picking the right data center, the right provider and the right server has a direct effect on site speed.
Mars Datacenter
Reaching their own site turned out to be hard work, but I got there in the end. We ran the test on marsdatacenter.com and the DNS resolution time we got was “124.08 ms”.
Mars Datacenter operates out of Istanbul.
Yöncü
Yöncü, one of the oldest data centers around, carries on without changing its traditional design. Testing their site, yoncu.com, we measured a DNS response time of “126 ms”.
Yöncü’s servers are in Ümraniye, Istanbul.
Radore
Radore is another long established data center, and our tests on their website, radore.com, gave us “132.14 ms”.
Radore is based in Istanbul.
Netdirekt
Netdirekt has been in the sector since 2009, and when we ran the test on netdirekt.com.tr we got a DNS resolution time of “133.12 ms”.
Netdirekt’s servers are in İzmir.
İşNet
İşbankası has invested heavily in digital, and on the İşnet site, isnet.net.tr, our results came back with a DNS lookup time of “126.29 ms”.
Turk.net
Turk.net is an internet service provider running its operations from a data center in Gayrettepe. Putting their site through DNS Checker gave us “128.51 ms”.
Premier DC
Premier DC is one of the Istanbul based data centers, and our tests on premierdc.com.tr showed a DNS resolution time of “132.72 ms”.
Premier DC is located in Istanbul.
Türk Telekom Bulut
Türk Telekom is Turkey’s main internet service provider, and its data center service, Türk Telekom Bulut, gave us a DNS lookup value of “128.65 ms” in our tests on turktelekombulut.com.

Summary
The results came out very close to one another. The milliseconds between them are small enough that they should not decide your data center for you. What matters here is security, service and how a company communicates. We have had the chance to talk to a good number of them lately. Your basic criteria for choosing the right data center should be consistency and the way they treat their customers.
