We made some significant improvements to page speed at Türk SEM lately. We tried a good many paid plugins to get the site faster, but; after a pile of experiments we came back to LiteSpeed Cache.

Why Caching Is Necessary
Our site, Turksem.com, is built on the WordPress plus Elementor pairing, so you could not say it is in great shape on speed. With the new site the main aim was how it looks, I should say. A good design and quality content matter more to us than speed.
Third in order of importance though it is, we put Turksem.com on the table for speed and tried to set it up as correctly as we could. To be honest about it, we read over 50 pages of writing and got the site into its best shape. I should also say that we got excellent results out of WP Fastest Cache, the plugin by Emre Vona. In this article we will hand you the best LiteSpeed Cache settings ready made.

Read this carefully: download the file at the link above to your computer. Then import it from “LiteSpeed Cache > Toolbox > Import / Export”. Because the file holds the Turksem.com settings, LiteSpeed will revise them for your own site within 30 minutes at most. Once it has, go to the LiteSpeed purge section and clear every part of the LiteSpeed cache.
Back your site up before applying any of these settings. There should be no trouble with this file, but we accept no legal responsibility all the same.
These Settings You Have to Make
Your site will probably throw an error. Do not panic. The settings here aim at a high degree of page speed, so some JS and CSS will error. When it does;
- In Chrome, go to “Inspect > Console” and find which JS or CSS file is erroring.
- Go to LiteSpeed “Page Optimization > Tuning”.
- Put the offending files in there. If “Animation.js” is the one erroring, for instance, type animation.js in that box, and exclude every file causing an error from the cache.
- Then clear everything with LiteSpeed “Purge CSS/JS Cache” and “Purge All”.
- Make sure you have resolved every error.

The LiteSpeed cPanel Setting
If you have only just installed LiteSpeed on your site, log into cPanel and type LiteSpeed into the search. Then run a scan so the LiteSpeed server plugin picks up the plugin on your site. After the scan it should discover it and enable it on its own. If it does not, click Enable. And if you hit an error, write it in the comments and we will look at it together.
Last Setting: Serve Stale Content
This one does not come switched on in our ready made file. The reason; if you run an e-commerce site or anything similar, do not turn it on. But; if you have a static content site, go to “LiteSpeed > Cache > Purge” and set “Serve Stale” to Yes. That lets you serve the old cache while you publish new content, update the theme and so on.
