Under the agreements we make at Türk SEM for website management, blog management and app management, we expect articles from our “content editors” that meet certain criteria. Here we will briefly set out exactly what those criteria are.
In our website and app content management work, each app or website has guidelines of its own. We give those to the editors who will be working on that app or that website.
How Many Words Should a Blog or Web Page Carry?
The minimum word count we set for content is 500 words. We do not consider an article under 500 words sufficient.
How Many Photographs?
We ask for at least 4 photographs relevant to the subject inside the article. We want them eye catching and high resolution.
What Is the Rule on Article Titles?
For the companies we work with, we choose the titles ourselves. Every title carries with it things that have to be covered, the things the person searching that title is looking for. Articles that do not deliver those things, that do not help, are not accepted.
Use Bullet Points Where You Can
Wherever the subject lends itself to bullet points, use them.
Certain Words Should Be Bold
To help the eye pick things out, to make reading easier and to make the page look better, the parts that need it should be set in bold.
Can You Quote?
Avoid quoting as far as you can. But in a scientific explanation a quotation is required. We ask for citation footnotes at the end of the article.
Subheadings and How to Pick Them
Subheadings can be used often, with the “h2, h3, h4” tags, as long as they do not spoil the look of the page. The editor should choose them with some organization behind it.
End With a “summary, a short last look”
This part, which we want at the end of the article, should carry the information that sums the subject up.
Turkish Language Rules
We expect our writers to have a full command of the Turkish spelling rules published by the Turkish Language Association, and to write within them.
In Short
We want an article from our writers to run around 500 words, to keep to the Turkish language rules, to be dressed with eye catching photographs and to meet the SEO criteria. Payments to the writers we work with go out to the account they give us on the 10th of the month.
